Have confidence in what is ready to respond
Give members a clear way to check vehicles and equipment, record problems and see what needs attention before the next response.

Make thorough checks easier to complete
Work through the checks that are due with progress saved as you go, so an interruption does not mean starting again.

- 1
Resume without repeating work
Saved answers show exactly where to pick up.
- 2
The right answer for each check
A timed test, a count against what should be there, a reading or a date, as well as pass, warn or fail.
- 3
A defect, raised on the spot
Say what is wrong and it is filed when you sign off.

Build a routine people can rely on
Keep the right checks coming due
Set each check to its own schedule so members see what needs doing, without repeating work that is still current.

Keep standards consistent across your equipment
Apply a shared checklist across vehicles or equipment while each asset keeps its own inspection dates.

Turn completed checks into better decisions
See what could prevent a response
Critical defects show against vehicle readiness so you can see what needs resolving before relying on that vehicle.

Catch problems that keep coming back
See which checks fail most often and on which vehicles, helping you focus maintenance on recurring problems.

Understand a vehicle before you use it
Review open defects, equipment and recent history together so you can make an informed decision about the vehicle.

Work together wherever the checks happen
Works out of coverage
Answers, notes and photos stay on the device and go up when the signal returns.
Several people, one inspection
Anyone who opens the same inspection joins it, and you can see who answered what.
The right item
Scan a barcode and Vantage warns you if it is not the one expected.
Questions
Can checks on one checklist fall due at different times?
Yes. Each check carries its own interval, and the asset knows which of its checks are due.
What happens when a check fails?
You flag it and describe the problem. A defect is filed against that vehicle or item when the inspection is signed off, and it goes to the people responsible for fixing it.
Can we check something that is not due?
Yes. Any checklist can be run as needed.
Who can see what has been checked?
Anyone you give access to. Each inspection keeps who did it, when, and what they found, so a captain or equipment officer can look back over any vehicle without asking around.
